Monastic spirit in modern wrapping
Over more than 300 years the Capuchin order was located in the monastery Bezau. 1975 the last priest moved and the monastery almost got closed. After a lot of renovation three padres of the Franciscan order came and parts of the monastery were rebuilt to the modern hotel “Im Kloster Bezau”.
Architect Leopold Kaufmann designed from the open courtyard a beautiful hall for seminars, meetings, conferences or concerts. The completely inserted galleries and stairs connect together the floors and parts of the old building. The now tastefully and affectionate arranged rooms were the cells of the friars in the old days of the monastery.
„A stranger is a friend, you have not met yet“
Norbert Schneider conducted the hotel “Im Kloster Bezau” since 1980, when it was opened. Meanwhile his daughter Simone and her husband Herbert took over the management.
Ihre Philosophie lautet:
„We concentrate on our expertise in workshop and event management, as on the requirements of our guests. We guarantee the best quality, individual care and friendliness to all our guests. We offer modern equipment in historic atmosphere and our team stands for quality, reliability and has the know-how of many years.”

A rarity: our „Deerofo“
Ten minutes away from the hotel “Im Kloster Bezau” is our treasure located, “dr Deerofo” (deeren = to dry something, ofo = oven), the house with history.
This barn was formely used by the whole village as a drying oven. With love and care we created a jewel out of it and are happy to present it to our guests and conference visitors. It can be used for a champagne reception, comfortable get-together, a torchlight walk or for a little timeout.
„Dr Deerofo“ is something very special with the atmosphere of passed times, a precious treasure to discover.
